Pillar 2 of 6

Discipline

Doing the work after motivation leaves the room.

What it means

Motivation is a feeling and feelings move. Discipline is a decision you make once and then keep, on the ordinary days when nobody is watching and nothing feels dramatic.

A real-life example

You planned to be up at 5:30. At 5:30 you do not feel like it. Discipline is standing up anyway and keeping the promise you made to yourself.

Reflection question

Where am I negotiating with a decision I already made?

One action today

Pick one non-negotiable for the next seven days and track it on paper.
